At sixteen he bought his first electric guitar, a Gretch hollow body. He tried his hand at song writing, went into the studio, and laid down a few original tracks. Although Brian has many influences, it quickly became evident that his love for the blues and southern rock would turn things in a new direction for him. However, watching his mom play the guitar sparked his interest in switching instruments. During his college years, Ted took both piano and guitar lessons and elected to take many music theory classes as well. He also built a Harpsichord and helped put together the college radio station.
